Dr. Nina was born in Chicago, raised in San Francisco and has lived in Houston since 1980. She earned her DDS at the University of Texas Dental Branch, Houston in 1995 and has been in practice in the area since 1997. She makes sure to stay current with the latest in continuing education courses. Dr. Nina always strives to provide the best possible care for her patients, maintain a well-run office and have a happy team. She believes that honesty creates trust between her and her patients and finds it gratifying to see a beautiful smile on a patient’s face or to see a patient experiencing relief from pain.
Dr. Nina has three daughters: Ayesha, who studies at UT Dallas, Fatima, who is at UT Austin and Maryam, who is currently at Texas Tech. In her spare time, Dr. Nina enjoys reading. In particular, she enjoys books about the history of England, Scotland and Rome. She likes to meet up with friends and relax over coffee, and she loves to spend time with her family. He parents live close to her, and she has four sisters and five nephews, with two nieces on the way.
Dr. Bachoura received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California and went on to University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he received his D.D.S. in 2003. Dr. Bachoura completed his medical schooling at the University of Texas Houston Medical School in 2007 and did an internship in General Surgery in Medicine. He also completed a four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the same institution.
In addition to Dr. Bachoura’s extensive training, he completed the USMLE program, Steps 1, 2 and 3. He is an instructor in the Advanced Cardio Life Support System. He is certified in Basic Life Support and a provisional member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA), Greater Houston Dental Society and Houston Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also Board Certified with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Training and scope of Practice After four years of postgraduate dental education, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon completes four or more years of intensive, postdoctoral, hospital-based surgical residency training. Oral and Maxillofacial surgery residents spend significant time rotating through related medical fields such as internal medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, and emergency medicine. Depending on the residency program, some surgeons may also opt to complete the necessary requirements to earn a medical or other advanced degree. Some may also subsequently complete fellowships in sub-specialty area. Dr. Bachoura’s interests include skiing, hiking, running and music. He participates in high performance driving and enjoys restoring old vehicles. He has run and completed the Houston marathon from 2004 to 2009.

Tyn has been a part of Aliana Family Dental since March of 2016. She was part of the first accredited graduating class at Houston Community College. Tyn enjoys taking care of her patients and meeting new people. She appreciates the team environment in our office and likes educating our patients about dental hygiene. She strives for kindness and selflessness in everything she does and applies her knowledge of patient-focused care to her job. She always encourages her coworkers and helps to build a spirit of teamwork.
Tyn is the loving mother of a five-year-old son and is getting ready to celebrate her ten-year anniversary. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and being a master crafter and paper florist. She is also a make-up artist and a licensed cosmetologist.
Azma is a native of the Lonestar State. She was born in Houston and spent most of her childhood in Sugar Land. She now lives in Rosenberg. She has been with Aliana Family Dental since March of 2018. She graduated from Coleman College with an associate degree in applied science in dental hygiene. At our office, Azma has a passion for educating her patients in the importance of oral hygiene and loves making a difference in the oral health of her patients. She loves being a part of the family here with her crazy, silly coworkers who make the job so fun and work so well together.
Azma has been married since 2008 and has two beautiful daughters. She always looks forward to spending time with family and friends, watching movies, working out, and going shopping!
Yessenia joined our team in September of 2017. She is a certified dental assistant and is also certified in CPR and in administering nitrous oxide. At Aliana Family Dental, Yessenia keeps our patients, assistants, hygienists and doctors in the right places at the right times! She loves it when everyone in the office works together to accomplish great things.
Away from work, Yessenia enjoys going to the movies, shopping and participating in as many charity 5Ks as possible.
Karen joined the Aliana Family Dental team in 2018. She enjoys interacting with our patients (especially kids) and making them feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. She loves making her patients laugh and brings a positive attitude and friendly spirit with her to the office.
Karen is the proud mother of three children, and in her spare time she enjoys running and working out.
Karina became a part of Aliana Family Dental in 2018. She enjoys working with our talented doctor and providing quality dentistry for our patients. She gives our patients great care by helping them to understand what will happen during their visit to our office.
Karina has four sisters and two brothers. She enjoys a good joke and a good laugh and likes to shop and travel. Some of her favorite getaway spots have been Las Vegas and Cancún!
Kyle joined Aliana Family Dental in 2018. He builds relationships between our office and our patients and works hard to find ways to make treatment affordable for our clients. He enjoys the sense of family and comradery between our team members and our patients and loves meeting new people. Kyle finds that helping people is one of the best parts of working in the dental field. Kyle plays multiple instruments and participates in marathons. He also enjoys an active faith life.
Monica has been a part of Aliana Family Dental since July of 2015. She loves working with a great team to help our patients enjoy great oral health and be happy. Monica schedules our patients’ appointments, answers their questions, verifies their insurance and provides accurate estimates for treatment costs. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies.
